While Florida may not feel very wintery, we sure make up for it with wonderful holiday décor and activities all around town. If you’ve already checked out all the holiday ideas from our previous post, here are some more you can enjoy before the season is over:

If you’re anything like me, you will jump at any opportunity to dress up. So, dust off those heels and be mesmerized by Miami City Ballet’s The Nutcracker at the Adrienne Arsht Center.  From December 16 through the 30, you can be a witness to George Balanchine’s magical production of this holiday classic.

Calling all outdoorsy friends! Night Garden offers a spectacular lights show you will not want to miss. From now until January, the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami transforms into an enchanted forest that combines lighting effects, holograms, and music.

If you still have not tried the Brightline, this is the perfect time to hop on. Step into a recreation of this children’s story with a cast of actors that will make your experience so much fun. If you’re ready to drink some hot chocolate and carol along, this ride is for you.

From now through December 31, Gulfstream Park offers its visitors a light display, holiday music, and a fantastic Christmas tree for the kids (and adults, let’s be honest) to gather around and enjoy. As a bonus, you can see Santa and snow on certain dates. Gulfstream also offers excellent dining and shopping options in a chic, outdoor-style mall.

You read that right. Named “Best Tree in the State of Florida”, this tree is so big you and your family can walk through it! A tradition since 1993, it features 18,000 ornaments and over two hundred thousand lights (I see you complaining about your 10 set of lights). This is something worth seeing, and it’s free!

If you want the real Florida experience, then don’t miss the world’s only sand tree, Sandi. Located in the West Palm Beach waterfront, there is a Ferris wheel you can ride for only $5 and get an aerial view of Sandi’s music and lights show.
