I’m a sunshine state native who’s slowly migrated my way from North Florida down the coast to Fort Lauderdale. Although I didn’t initially love my new home of South Florida, the community I’ve found here is what’s kept me and caused Hatch Creatives to even exist.

Hatch was founded in January 2018 out of a need I saw for myself and other creative women around me.

I’m a graphic designer by day, and for that reason, love building the brand for Hatch. If I wasn’t working towards growing Hatch, I’d be planning trips to Europe and figuring out how to be a travel blogger, and eating lots of brunch food (brunch still happens, let’s be real). I’m SO thankful for the team of gals who believe in the work we’re doing to build community for women who are going after their dreams!

I’m a born and raised Indiana Hoosier, but have enjoyed sunny and humid South Florida and have experienced firsthand the power and impact of a supportive community.

By day I help people keep their lives together as an Executive Administrative Assistant. Most nights I’m usually catching up on some crime show and sending tweets to the C.I.A. in hopes that they make me their next secret agent. I’m most definitely a people person, driven by the needs of others and energized by opportunities to help people find answers and solve problems.

My role within the Hatch Creatives team is to help Hatch Gals connect with each other and create lasting partnerships with local entrepreneurs and businesses. I love that women are finding a supportive community through Hatch to celebrate the things that make them who they are.

I’m a South Florida Native with Dominican roots. I’ve always had a passion for seeing how things work and come together and that has led me to work in a variety of communication and project management roles. My favorite things about working with Laura and Hatch Creatives is seeing a nurturing and collaborative creative community of women growing in South Florida. Seeing this simple idea and all its moving pieces come to life every month is exhilarating!

I am a proud feminist and love talking all things empowerment! I’ve watched The Office and Parks and Recreation at least 4 times each (and not so secretly want to marry Ben Wyatt). I have a natural love of museums. I’m #1 on the Enneagram, an INTJ and I love spending time with my two wacky and hilarious younger sisters.

I can officially consider myself a Florida girl after residing here for the last eight years. I’m originally from Portland, Oregon, still one of my favorite places. 

I’m a Production Coordinator, making sure all of our projects are handled with excellence from beginning to end. My side hustle is CM Event Design an event design company doing all things weddings and parties. I love helping people accomplish their dream wedding or event on a small budget.

My role as a Hatch Creative member is helping with the design of each month, from what it looks like, what topic we choose to focus on, and scouting for new, fun locations for our events. Hatch Creatives has inspired and supported the dream of CM Event Design by creating opportunities to network and learn new business skills so I love being able to give back to this community by playing a small role in what we can bring to ladies every month.

As a Fort Lauderdale native I can probably lend you tips about local restaurants, secret spots for beach parking, and random pieces of city history! I took a quick break from the sunshine state to see what Dixieland was all about, gained some of my most precious friends, more than a few great stories, and a journalism degree. 

These days I lead a marketing team at a non-profit—I love getting to propel and produce the kind of content that drives people into action and advocacy. I especially love getting to work with my team of incredibly talented women who teach me something new every day. 

I contribute to Hatch through blog editing, writing, and most importantly by encouraging other women to keep creating. If I can spur on even just one woman who is hesitant to write or too tired to keep writing, then that is a Hatch mission accomplished for me!
